The 24-hour Library

Traditionally library services are bound by the opening hours. Thanks to the Internet we can offer some of our services 24/7.

Detektor is the library´s database of catalogued, quality-checked information on the Internet. The resources are chosen on the basis of patrons´ questions.

Bazar is a multilingual guide to your rights and responsibilities in Norway.

Biblioteksvar.no (Ask the Library) is a national library online reference service where you are guaranteed an answer as quickly as possible, and at least within the next working day. You can choose between sending an email, a sms og to chat with a librariean. Libraries all over Norway cooperate in answering your questions. For more information, go to the site. Skoleverkstedet (Norwegian text only) is the library´s online service for pupils in the public schools. The site shows you where to find information for school subjects and projects, both on the Internet and books, non-fiction and fiction.

Månedens bok (Norwegian text only) The book of the month. Each month we publish a review of a book. You can read all the reviews in the Book of the month-archive (Norwegian text only).

MappaMi (My Journal) gives you the possibility to stay on top of your patron account, and allows you to renew, make and check on the status of reservations, record your areas of interest and more.
