Wireless Network Hotspot at Deichmanske Bibliotek
The wireless network is unencrypted and the library takes no responsibility for loss of data or other damage that might result in its use. Users should be aware that unencrypted passwords and e-mail can be read by persons listening to wireless network traffic. Most commercial sites such as banks and airlines encrypt password and creditcard information, but it is the user's responsibility to ensure that the sites she visits are encrypted.
The network is primarily intended for web-surfing (http and https).
Access to the wireless network, and all internet access from the library is in accordance with Norwegian law. The following are not allowed:
- Spreading computer viruses or Denial of Service attacks
- Sending unsolicited mass e-mail ('spam')
- Dissemination of racist or pornographic material
